Mom and dad go to Puerto Rico for their honeymoon
Morning visit was super uneventful. Both Sugar and Dexter were chilling and stayed where they were while I checked for messes and topped off any food and water. They both looked very comfortable.
The evening visit had both cats chilling in the living room. There was a small mess to clean up in front of the TV, but the rest of the house was fine. Food and water was refilled all around and they found their cozy spots before I left.
Sugar and Dexter were nice and cozy in the house despite the super chilly outside. No messes in the morning, and everyone seems to have a good appetite as the food bowl has been refilled again.
After panicking when I couldn't find Dexter for the first ten minutes of the evening visit, he popped up on the couch downstairs like a magic eye at the 90s mall kiosk. Other than two small messes in the living room everything else was fine. Sugar was moving around a decent amount today, and not just stationary so it was nice to see her out and about.
Sugar was bouncing around this morning while Dexter was content with lounging on the cat tree downstairs.
The evening visit brought a friend... Caleb! Dexter was checking him out, got about 4 feet away and Caleb got excited so Dexter dated under the bed. Sugar was chillaxin' downstairs. No messes today!
Sugar came bounding up the steps when I came by this morning, meowing happily... I think she's finally getting used to me. Dexter was hiding out in Mike's office this morning, just sitting there.
Evening had Dexter under the bed, but he came out when he heard the fridge open. Sugar just supervised the refilling of the food and water.
No messes all day!
Lazy Friday morning! Dexter did not want to move from the tree, even after wet food was put out, but he looked super cute. Again, Sugar supervised food and water replenishment.
Friday evening brought a Dexter that was super excited for his wet food. I went to do the litter box and he let me know that food was needed STAT. Sugar was chilling in Laura's office, but came out when she heard the food being refilled. Another mess free day!
Sugar was bouncing around this morning, seemingly in a good mood. Dex just wanted to sleep in and only looked mildly annoyed when I asked him to pose for a picture atop the tree.
Evening visit brought no new news. Just typical happy cats.
Lazy Sunday for Dexter. Sugar was up and about in the morning, directing me where to go.
Evening brought the first messes in days. There was some puke in the living room and dining area that dried mostly transparent. There were two more spots that had more substance by the back door and in the bedroom. Sugar remained in Laura's office while I was cleaning up, while Dexter followed me and supervised me cleaning.
Monday morning both cats were out and about, just walking around all nimbly bimbly like. They seemed happy to have me by and Sugar even hung out with me while I filled the food and water in the morning.
I was expecting the worst from the evening since that's when I found the mess the previous night, but everything was good. Just two cats living their best cat lives.
Sugar was trying to figure out how to use the electric blanket this morning, I told her she didn't need it and she seemed ok with that. Dexter was chilling as usual... he took the morning off waiting for his wet food.
Evening visit had both cats buzzing around the house, but no messes today!
Well... Dexter really likes to chill on the tree in the morning - I swear the pictures are from different days and I'm not just taking a ton of photos and spreading them out to all the mornings. Sugar was captured mid yawn and thought I'd keep the picture as it's quite humorous once you zoom in.
The evening was a little earlier than normal due to a scheduling conflict, but Sug was catching some rays in the dining room as the sun was setting. Dexter was hiding out in the basement but decided to join us for dinner. No messes today. The litter box had to be topped off a bit as it was getting low, and the empty litter container was moved to recycling outside.
